Job Details Mindy's Bakery, by James-Beard Award Winning Chef and Owner of Mindy's Edibles, Mindy Segal, is looking for a Front of House Staff Member to join its team! We are located in the heart of Wicker Park, right off Milwaukee and Damen.Mindys Bakery is a diverse collective of talented artisanal bakers, as well as passionate FOH staff who work continuously on our craft. Job Responsibilities & Expectations:
+ Demonstrate excellent customer service skills
+ Knowledge of our menu - including all rotating specials, beverages, preparation techniques, main ingredients, and allergen information
+ Respond to customer questions and feedback
+ Follow all safety & sanitation guidelines
+ Assist guests with packaging their pastries and/or ringing them up on our POS system (Square)
+ Follow all checklists that pertain to opening and closing, and feel confident performing all the tasks associated with both
+ Maintain a presentable appearance and adhere to our dress code
+ Maintain appearance and cleanliness of the bakery - keeping counters, displays, tables and floors clean and presentable at all times
+ Set up and re-stocking of displays, packaging, labeling, dating and rotating food items for sale
+ Package catering and wholesale orders as needed
+ Assist BOH with projects during down-time
+ Be familiar with our handbook and all policies in it
Requirements & Qualifications:

+ A valid Food Handler's Certificate
+ Ability to stand for the duration of a shift
+ Ability to work early mornings, as early as 6:00 AM
Compensation & Benefits:
+ $20/hr starting shift pay (negotiable based on experience), plus pooled tips, which are added to the last paycheck of each month

Schedule:
This position is full-time.
Our bakery is currently open to the public Wednesday through Sunday -- 7:30am to 3pm during the week, and 8am to 3pm on Saturday and Sunday. However, we have staff working and prepping daily. This position requires morning and afternoon availability.
