Gjelina on Abbot Kinney Blvd in Venice is seeking Hosts to join our dynamic front-of-house team! As a high-volume, high-energy restaurant, we pride ourselves on a strong team of hospitality professionals who live and breathe our culture.

About the Role: As the first and last point of contact, the Host plays a vital role in setting the tone for each guests experience. Youll greet, seat, and guide guests with professionalism and warmth, manage reservations and waitlists, and support the flow of service on the floor. This position also requires confident communication, strong organizational skills, and an eye for detail.

What Youll Do:

  • Warmly welcome and seat guests while managing reservations and waitlists

  • Answer guest inquiries, both in-person and over the phone

  • Support the service team by maintaining smooth table rotations

  • Communicate guest preferences and needs to team members

  • Handle guest feedback gracefully and professionally

  • Maintain knowledge of the floor plan, menu, and guest flow

  • Keep host stand and entry areas clean and organized

  • Attend pre-shift meetings and training sessions

What Were Looking For:

  • 12 years of hosting or guest service experience in a restaurant (preferred)

  • Calm, friendly, and efficient under pressure

  • Ability to multitask and manage time in a busy setting

  • Knowledge of POS and reservation systems (SevenRooms or Resy is a plus)

  • Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 35 lbs

  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

  • A professional appearance and a team-focused attitude.
