SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for assigned food prep and kitchen cleaning duties assigned by Supervisor.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Complete all prep work before the start of dining service
- Set up line for efficient flow of operation
- Properly wrap, date, store and rotate perishable items
- Maintain proper inventory of line items on demand during service time or by adding notation to a posted list
- Make sure Member orders are complete, presentable, and delivered to guests at the correct temperature
- Taste items to determine accuracy of preparation
- Ensure all food items comply with portion size and quality standards
- Follow cleaning checklists daily
- Maintain clean and safe work area
- Report any broken equipment to Supervisor
- Maintain proper sanitation practices during shift
- Ensure entire work area is properly cleaned & sanitized throughout work shift (clean as you go approach)
- Assist with expediting food to tables or dishwashing as needed
- Attend all company required meetings
- Calm under pressure and easily accepting of additional responsibilities due to crowd volume
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of two years of casual dining cooking experience.
- Basic math skills to determine measurements.
- Must have professional appearance and demeanor.
- Ability to work thoroughly and prepare food quickly under pressure.
- Ability to read, write and comprehend English.
EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Food Safety certified. (must be able to qualify within 90 days of employment)
