The Home Place Restaurant has an opening on our kitchen team. We are an established, high volume, and fast paced restaurant in Silverton serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday shifts are required. Plus Two additional shifts. Days off are negotiable (not Fri/Sat/Sun). Shifts are closing shifts (typically out by 10pm).
Starting Compensation: $18.40 - $22.00/hr (depending on demonstrated experience) PLUS current tip pool share. Hourly increase at 90 day performance review (assuming standards are maintained). Paid Time Off. 401k with Employer Match. Voluntary Life Insurance Available.
Must have at least 1 year line cook experience.* (see note below)
Must have a valid Oregon Food Handlers Card.
Must be able to memorize a large and diverse menu.
Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen, while exhibiting proper sanitation and food preparation guidelines.
Must be able to communicate with staff and customers verbally and in writing.
Must work well with others. Ability to work under pressure; remaining calm and respectful. Must possess a positive "can-do" attitude, attention to detail, and the desire to strive for consistent quality.
Must demonstrate integrity, manage time wisely, and instinctively help in other areas as needed.
Our entire menu is offered all hours of the day. Our menu includes burgers, chicken, omelettes, eggs to order, hash browns, pancakes, both hot and cold sandwiches, variety of salads, and other dinner menu items. These menu items are prepared using a flat top griddle, char broiler, deep fryer, and stove top burners.
Must be able to reach in all directions and bend over and/or squat to obtain items in lower refrigeration units. Lift and occasionally carry up to 50 pounds. Stand for a long period of time.
