About the role
Working under limited supervision when supporting assigned service calls, applies intermediate skills to perform preventive industrial maintenance and corrective repair of over head doors, buildings, building systems and equipment, and grounds within a geographical area/route potentially across multiple sites. Monitors building system operations and performance. Applies several trade skills such as welding, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating and cooling.
What you'll do
Follow all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and Company directives related to building operations and work safety.
Performs assigned day-to-day repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance. Completes' maintenance and repairs, records as records date.
Trouble shooting problems and repairs of buildings and installed systems to include: plumbing systems, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, shop, and HVAC/R, overhead doors.
Inspects building systems including fire alarms, HVAC/R, and plumbing to ensure operation of equipment is within design capabilities and achieves environmental conditions prescribed by client.
Maintains lighting systems throughout the facility, cleaning fixtures and replacing bulbs and lamps. Performs welding, carpentry, furniture assembly and locksmith tasks as needed. Responds quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed. Complete other tasks as assigned.
What you'll need
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of 2 years of related experience and/or trade school training.
Possess and maintain a valid driver's license and good driving record with periodic checks
Possess skills to functionally operate a "full size" van/truck safely
Uses computer and / or PDA for work order system, email, and training. Basic skills with Microsoft Office Outlook. Physical requirements include stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs / ladders and ability to lift / carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
