Hourly Pay Rate: $ 16.50 per hour (DOE and state)

Gjelina Restaurant in Noho on Bond St. is seeking an experienced Bartenders to join our dynamic team! As a high-volume, high-energy restaurant, we pride ourselves on a strong team of hospitality professionals who live and breathe our culture.

Position Summary: As a Bartender, youll be part of a team that creates high-quality experiences for guests. You will manage all beverages, maintain bar cleanliness, and interact with guests to ensure excellent service. Teamwork, flexibility, multitasking, and staying calm in a busy setting are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Report on time and manage shift duties according to labor laws.

  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.

  • Build rapport with regulars and encourage new guests.

  • Take orders, make recommendations, and input orders accurately into the POS system.

  • Ensure smooth communication between service staff and management.

  • Perform opening and closing duties, including stocking and cleaning.

  • Handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly.

  • Know the menu, including food and drink offerings, and assist with pairings.

  • Attend training sessions and adhere to alcohol control, health, and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

  • New York Alcohol Training Awareness Program.

Physical Demands:

  • Stand, lift, bend, and walk for long periods (8-12 hours).

  • Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

  • Climb stairs, kneel, bend, and crouch as needed.

  • Work in fast-paced, varying conditions (temperature, noise).

Work Environment:

  • Moderate noise levels and possible exposure to wet, hot, or slippery conditions.
