What We Want
The Customer Services Associate V works under general supervision and provides highly advanced administrative support. This role is responsible for providing public assistance to University students, faculty, staff and visitors, ensuring accuracy of deposits and accounting, coordinating parking assignments and waitlist reports, and reviewing multiple permit related reports for accuracy.

Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
High School or GED.
5 years of experience in business administration, clerical work, or coordination work.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Customer-service oriented.
Conflict resolution abilities.
Adaptable with ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of account reconciliation and problem solving.
Must be detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy in maintaining records and reports.
Working knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing software programs.
Keyboarding skills.
Ability to identify work priorities.
Good organization and time management skills.
Adept at written, oral, and interpersonal communication.
Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
Preferred Qualifications:
State of Texas class "C" vehicle driver license or the ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
Responsibilities
Customer Service - Greets and assists customers in person. Responds to customer inquiries and complaints as related to adjudication of citations, booted/towed vehicles, lost/stolen or altered/forged permits, returned checks, parking fees, billing, parking permits and University Parking Rules. Investigates errors on customer transactions and resolves problems. Receives and processes correspondence. Maintains database and customer records. Has a broad knowledge of all parking rules and regulations. Responsible for the opening and/or closing of the Customer Service area on a daily basis. Issues parking permits/passes. Responsible for maintaining accurate record keeping. Posts daily transactions in business management software system. Adheres to all departmental and fiscal regulations. Performs account maintenance duties, receives and logs: mail, payments, Authorization To Charge Forms, refund vouchers, lost/stolen reports, and citation responsibility. Maintains daily permit inventory. Conducts monthly and year-end inventory certification for approval. Cross-trains and prepares to fulfill all business office duties as needed.
Coordination - Coordinates parking assignments and wait list requests for over 100 parking lots. Receives, verifies and processes data sent for assignment updates in the parking software system. Coordinates parking for off campus vendors, service personnel and the off campus TAMU system departments who do business on the TAMU campus. Directs the application and issue processes for these individuals.
Administration - Participates in permit registration and issue process. Monitors, researches, processes, approves non-affiliate log in requests and notifies customer of outcome. Reviews duplicate UIN report, multiple permit issued report, deceased employee report, withdrawn students list, wait list, reports and other business analysis reports. Researches discrepancies and makes supervisor aware of potential errors or risks. Monitors stock levels of and orders supplies required to fulfill job duties. Develops and maintains filing system for business documents. Suggests or recommends necessary changes for process improvement.
Leader - May participate in the hiring and training of personnel (student workers and entry level budgeted employees). Mentor new co-workers.
