City - La Grande - Pool/Parks Facilities Maintenance Worker/Custodian

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Performs routine custodial and maintenance tasks; plumbing/irrigation for the pool and parks, grounds maintenance and snow removal. Additionally, this position may be assigned to maintenance duties at other City buildings and facilities. In addition to regularly scheduled hours, this position is on-call and occasionally requires a flexible schedule.

REQUIREMENTS/EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Five (5) years of combined experience in building maintenance, grounds maintenance, light electrical, plumbing, water pumps and boiler maintenance, and or HVAC maintenance.
Possess or obtain an Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO or Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification within six (6) months of appointment and maintain for the duration of employment.
Individuals must be physically capable of operating motor vehicles safely, possess a valid Oregon drivers license and privileges (or able to secure an Oregon drivers license within one month of hire date), and have an acceptable driving record.
