Normal Work Schedule: Varies; Monday - Friday 4:00am to 12:30pm, 7:00am to 3:30pm, 3:30pm to 12:00am.
Job Summary: The Custodian performs routine manual work in housekeeping and cleaning of interior spaces and immediate exterior areas. Sweeps, mops, vacuums, polishes and dusts furniture, and cleans restrooms, windows, blinds, mirrors, etc. in buildings across campus.
Additional Department Summary: Performs routine manual work in housekeeping and cleaning of interior spaces and immediate exterior areas. Sweeps, mops, vacuums, polishes, dusts furniture, and cleans restrooms, windows, blinds, and mirrors in academic, administrative, and athletic buildings as well as campus living spaces. Observes and adheres to all safety rules and regulations closely as listed on product and equipment labels and as directed by management. Leaves work site clean and orderly. Ensures that all tools and equipment are cleaned and materials are secured. Meets regular attendance requirements. Works overtime as scheduled. Accomplishes the essential functions, with or without reasonable accommodations, in a timely manner
Required Minimum Qualifications: Must be able to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions.
Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Final candidates must submit to and successfully pass a post-offer drug screen.
Skills and Knowledge: Ability to climb stairs and ladders. Ability to reach and lift arms above head. Ability to walk and/or stand for extended periods of time. Ability to use job-related tools, equipment, and chemical supplies.
Preferred Qualifications: High school diploma or GED. Valid U.S Driver's license.
