Minimum Qualifications:
- ??High School Diploma or equivalent
- Two years of experience in custodial, maintenance or janitorial work
Job Location: Multiple Locations
Salary Range: $20.57-$26.83/hr
Position Overview:
??The Custodian for OIC of WA, as a team member, performing custodial tasks to maintain cleanliness and care of facilities. Our custodians are an essential provider of customer service for our clients. The external and internal appearance of the building reflects on our agency. Special attention to detail and diligence are imperative. Will perform various custodial, maintenance related tasks to ensure and maintain proper cleanliness of facilities. Custodians may be required to drive to satellite locations. The custodian will assist with event set ups/downs. May have an alternate work shift schedule due to scheduled events. Performs work using best practices while maintaining compliance with applicable laws, policies and procedures to provide a safe workplace.
Essential Duties:
- Clean buildings, offices, rooms, institutional and non-institutional facilities.
- ?Read, interpret, assign, and process work orders as required.
- ?Initiate applicable work orders for building repair and maintenance within the assigned areas and follow up on the timely completion of those work orders.
- ?Apply health, safety and cleaning standards for cleaning and sanitizing restrooms facilities. Ensure assigned buildings and areas are clean and safe at all times.
- ?Maintain supplies and materials such as toilet paper, paper towels, soap, for restrooms, and toilet facilities.
- ?Dust and wipe furniture, sweep, mop, vacuum floors, empty wastebaskets, trash and recycle containers.
- ?Sweep, mop, scrub, wax and polish floors, walls, and woodwork; dust furniture and equipment; empty wastebaskets; polish furniture and metal fixture; wash window; vacuums rugs, curtains, and furniture.
- ?Set up and take down equipment and furnishings.
- ?Repair or replace doors, hardware, windows, locks, gutters, benches, tables, desks, chairs, cabinets.
- ?Safely operate vehicles and equipment in restricted or congested areas.
- ?Repair and maintain electric powered janitorial tools and electric or gas-powered lawn equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor polishers, floor scrubbers, hand mowers, riding lawn mowers, and edging tools.
- ?Make rounds, locking doors, closing windows, turning off lights and replacing burned out light bulbs, turning air conditioning and other equipment on and off.
- ?Repair or replace fixture, furnishings, and any other miscellaneous objects.
- ?Paint small offices, restrooms, kitchens, breakrooms, and other spaces as directed by the maintenance director.
- ?Move furniture and equipment; arrange tables and chairs for special events; collect and dispose of garbage and trash; shovel snow and sweep and clean sidewalks on an emergency basis.
- ?Perform occasional yard and garden tasks such as mowing, weeding, or raking leaves and clearing debris.
- ?Under the direction of Supervisor inventory, order, receive, store, and distribute supplies and equipment to staff.
- Attend assigned trainings and meetings.
- ?Other duties as assigned.
Requirements

- ??Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- ?Effectively communicate with clients who face difficult situations, including defusing and de-escalating situation.
- ?Analyze policy, procedures, other materials, and make decisions based on analysis.
- ?In a fast-paced environment be able to prioritize and multi tasks within a set timeframe.
- ?Ability to utilize sound judgement, work calmly under pressure, and maintain high level of confidentiality.
- ?Ability to accept responsibility for quality of own work; acknowledges and corrects mistakes.

- ??Duties are performed primarily in an office setting. Noise level in this work environment is usually quiet to moderate.

- ?Frequent travel to and from sites within geographical service area.

Additional Conditions of Employment:
- Successfully pass a Criminal History & Background Check.
- Successfully pass a pre-employment drug test.
- Maintain a current driver's license, required motor vehicle insurance, reliable vehicle, and good driving record.
- Employment is conditional on CEO approval.
