We have a great team here, and our team is growing.We are seeking a talented and motivated Sous Chef to join our kitchen. The Sous Chef will play a crucial role in assisting the Chef in all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, consistency and presentation. The ideal candidate will be a skilled leader, a creative problem-solver, and possess a strong passion for culinary excellence.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership to create a culture and work environment based upon respect
- Provide opportunities for staff to learn, grow and develop their abilities through training
- Support the Chef in supervising the kitchen during prep and service periods
- Actively cooking on the line and executing prep production as needed
- Perform inventory and purchasing responsibilities on a weekly basis
- Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurants recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standards
- Ensure that all equipment is kept clean and kept in excellent working condition through personal inspection and preventative maintenance
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of product deliveries
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, front-of-house staff and management
- Assist in resolving kitchen-related issues and challenges
- Monitor food costs and minimize waste
- Ensure efficient kitchen flow and service
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar culinary leadership role
- Patient and empathetic toward others
- Practices high standards of cleanliness
- Strong leadership skills
- Highly organized
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Valid food handler's certification
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays

Compensation: Salary ($48,000.00 - $55,000.00)
