OVERVIEW
Located in the heart of Greenwich Village, Tokyo Record Bar offers a one-of-a-kind dining experience where a Japanese-inspired tasting menu is paired with curated vinyl records chosen by our guests. The space is intimate, immersive, and rooted in the lively spirit of Japanese izakayas, where food, music, and social connection are at the forefront. Each night, guests select songs from a vinyl playlist, shaping the soundtrack of the evening in real time. The restaurant also has Tokyo Listening Room, located on the first floor, that offers light bites, delicious cocktails, sake, beer, wine, and champagne.
POSITION SUMMARY
- Manage and assume full responsibility of each guests dining experience from start to finish, and multitask between assisting guests, bussing, running, and anything else needed to provide memorable and personalized service for our guests
- Describe and educate guests confidently on all elements of the menu (food and beverage) and restaurant
- Maintain clean dining room and restaurant and adhere to all health and safety standards
Server Requirements include:
- Ability to multi-task and perform in high-volume, high-intensity restaurant
- Demonstrate warm, friendly, high-energy personality with positive attitude and open-minded and team-oriented mindset
- Strong background in full-service dining and knowledge of service standards
- At least 1 year working in fine dining
- Highly organized, efficient, and meticulous with attention-to-detail on all operational matters
- Love for music, especially vinyl records
- Flexible schedule and open availability (full-time) to meet business needs
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Two-year degree or Apprenticeship
- Ability to read, write and communicate verbally in English
- Current and up-to-date sanitation classes
Compensation: Hourly ($10.65) plus tips
