Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday availability required
Corridor 109 / Bar 109 is hiring a line-cook to be part of our restaurant opening team!
Corridor 109 is a chef driven, 12 seat tasting counter with a focus on highlighting seafood as part of a modern tasting menu. Bar 109 is a separate concept in the same building with a full liquor, cocktail, wine and sake program.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for the craft of cooking, seafood, hospitality, and a desire to learn and grow as part of a small and flexible team of like minded individuals.
Responsibilities:
Work as a Line-cook under the direction of the Chef / Owner Brian Baik
Assist in the preparation of all foods for Corridor 109 and Bar 109
The Line-cook position will have a wide range of duties including rotating through food preparation duties and cooking stations for both Corridor 109 and Bar 109
Work in tandem with the FOH team to share all responsibilities setup and clean up related
Assist with daily setup, cleanup, and breakdown of restaurant and bar
General cleaning as may be required including dishwashing, glass washing, glass polishing, bathroom maintenance, etc.
Ensure company protocols and policies are upheld, including all health compliance requirements, setup, and cleanup procedures.
Learn the ever-changing menu and have knowledge of the ingredients
Other responsibilities as part of the day-to-day operations.
Arriving to work on time, following uniform policies and appropriate dress, and general workplace professionality.
Weekly availability requirement of approximately 40-45 hours per week, Tuesday-Saturday. Overtime is expected
Requirements:
Team player, no ego, we are looking for exceptional candidates that are willing to roll up their sleeves and do any and every task needed for the restaurant. Must have strong principles and integrity
Fine dining experience preferred but not required. Knife skills are required. The right person and personality is more important to us than a pedigree of experience.
Must have full schedule availability and interpersonal skills
Must complete a food handlers certificate
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds when called for
Must have a minimum of one year of full-time relevant experience
