Job Description

Job Summary

This position acts as the first point of contact for clients, visitors, and guests. Being the prime interface between the hotel services, he or she will check in guests, provide information regarding the Riley Center, and answer questions of visitors. He or she will answer the phone for the Riley Center and transfer clients to proper departments within the Riley Center. He or she welcomes all visitors with a servants attitude. Applicants should have a flexible schedule being able to work up to 28 hours per week during days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • Interact with the guests by phone, in person, and by email to handle requests for accommodations
  • Check the availability of accommodations and assigning rooms
  • Collect detailed information while guests are registering
  • Issue accommodation keys to guests
  • Provide accurate billing information
  • Settle guest payments at the time of check in.
  • Provide support to administrative team for audits, billing, and reconciliation.
  • Work with events team for hotel groups, blocks, and billing.
  • Welcome all visitors of the Riley Center and provide information regarding room locations, conference information, and SWBTS campus information
  • Act as a liaison between the Riley Center General Manager, housekeeping, and other employees and the guest regarding requests
  • Provide organization to the Front Desk area regarding records, guest information, and process for ease of access and reference
  • It is the employee and supervisors shared responsibility to regularly meet to discuss performance, suggest job description updates and set mutually beneficial goals.
  • Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned to support the team and institutional goals.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 2 years experience preferred, but not required
  • Successful completion of background check will be required.
  • Ability to provide proof of Work Authorization in the U.S. and proof of identity.

Physical Requirements

  • Employment is generally in an office setting which requires personnel to be able to interact with others by various means of communicate and be able to traverse campus by any mode of personal transportation.
