Job DetailsPOSITION: In Room Dining Server
EMPLOYMENT CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt
REPORTS TO : General Manager, Assistant General Manager, Bar Manager, Floor Manager
PURPOSE:
The In Room Dining Server takes care of the guests staying at 9 Orchard by providing genuine care and hospitality while upholding the quality of food, beverage, and service. The IRD Server manages their own station and is expected to maintain their station. The IRD Server is an expert in their field and is expected to be a leader by demonstrating strong work ethics and sets a good example to the rest of the team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES:
- Displays confidence and a strong, professional, and personal demeanor over the phone and when delivering
- Attends to all incoming requests and guest orders in an accurate and orderly manner
- Pronounces clearly and enunciates over the phone; guest can understand and articulate what is being said over the phone
- Delivers all orders in an accurate and orderly manner
- Ability to prepare and set up the dining area to the guests preferences
- Provides attentive and quality service
- Strong communication skills with the team. This includes the following, but not limited to: bartender, expo, kitchen, hotel team/ front desk, manager on duty
- Upholds food and beverage knowledge by learning the ingredients, allergens, and preparation of each dish and drink. Can recite and passionately make recommendations
- Familiarity of common food allergies
- Takes initiative to create positive memorable experiences for the guests
- Maintain s the cleanliness and appearance of the service station
- Ex ercise good judgement and decision making in escalating concerns and resolving issues. Escalates any concerns that need immediate attention to the manager on duty
In addition to performing the key responsibilities listed above, this position is required to perform a combination of the following:
- Be a team player and support other roles during service
- Share input and feedback to what can be improved in service to the management team
- Additional duties as necessary and assigned
- Ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced environment
- Upholds Department of Health Standards
- Upholds uniform guidelines and a polished appearance
- Consistently reports to scheduled shifts on time
- Provi des attentiveness and excellence in service. Adheres to steps of service. Follows all company policies, procedures, and guidelines
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands for this position includes standing and working for long periods of time and moving intermittently during work hours. The employee is required to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, bend, squat, kneel, and reach above shoulder level. These physical demands described here must be met by the employee to perform the essential functions of the job.

Compensation: Hourly ($20.00) plus tips
