Custodian

Provides cleaning services that ensure building/property cleanliness, health and safety. Cleaning functions include:

Dusting, mopping, sanitizing, sweeping, trash removal, vacuuming, waxing, washing and wiping.

Identifying potential maintenance concerns for repair and related improvements.

Maintaining cleaning supply inventory

Ensuring soap, paper towels and toilet tissue are adequately maintained for utilization

Replacing light bulbs, tubes, switches and ceiling tile

Moving and rearranging furniture; loads/unloads delivery trucks and delivers packages The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and prior related experience. Must successfully meet preemployment requirements that include criminal background investigation, physical examination and TB assessment. A Custodian will be assigned to all Head Start centers.
