Restaurant Manager
Position Summary
As Team Members of the Food and Beverage team, Casual Restaurant Managers are CRCR Ambassadors and take personal ownership to ensure their actions are in the best interest of the business. Casual Restaurant Managers are responsible for operating the casual dining outlets efficiently within pre-established cost controls, managing and maintaining the department in accordance with Health Department standards, and ensuring Guest satisfaction according to the business service standards.
Position Functions
Essential Functions:
• Provide exceptional Guest service while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Support and motivate Team Members while ensuring team responsibilities are performed according to established departmental standards.
• Manage daily dining area operations by overseeing a team, coordinating activities, and ensuring a positive dining experience for our Guests.
• Operate the outlets to ensure financial and operational efficiency and adherence to all operational standards.
• Supervise the floor during meal periods to ensure that all standards and steps of service are met through Guests’ interactions.
• Monitor inventory and ensure all food supplies and other restaurant essentials are adequately stocked.
• Ensure goals set by the Director of Food and Beverage are met.
• Move throughout the outlet and kitchen areas to visually monitor and act, ensuring food quality and service standards are met.
• Oversee, assist, and comply with all aspects of inventory, purchasing, receiving, and storing specified products.
• Achieve budgeted sales and profitability goals.
• Be responsible for resolution of Guest-related questions or concerns.
• Be responsible for maintaining a professional restaurant and Team Member image, including restaurant cleanliness, proper uniforms, and overall appearance standards.
• Uphold restaurant safety, sanitation, and security standards, including handling chemicals safely.
• Give guidance toward department improvement and make necessary adjustments for consistency.
• Ensure building, equipment, furniture, and fixtures are in good repair, clean, and maintained regularly.
• Clearly and consistently communicate all policies and procedures and hold Team Members accountable for compliance.
• Clearly communicate with all Team Members and management.
• Organize events not directly related to CRCR's core operations.
• Other duties as assigned.
Core Management Competencies:
• Lead and manage Team Members and processes while overseeing and directing daily department operations.
• Serve as the subject matter expert on departmental processes and procedures while responsible for all department compliance.
• Lead coaching, corrective counseling, and performance evaluations for Shift Supervisors, Leads, and Team Members.
• Lead, maintain, and foster timely communication, teamwork, and collaboration within their scope of responsibility.
• Recruit, train, and motivate Shift Supervisors, Leads, and Team Members effectively regulating department headcounts and turnover rates.
• Aid in drafting, creating, and updating policies and procedures under the guidance of Leadership.
• Assist in budget creation, meeting revenue targets, managing expenses effectively, and ensuring adherence to annual budgetary limitations.
• Oversee and lead employment terminations.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate).
• 2+ years as a Restaurant Supervisor or a similar role in the hospitality industry.
• Must possess or be able to complete RBS and ServSafe for Managers training and certification.
• Proficient in Restaurant Management software such as Micros, Agilysys, or similar software.
• Familiarity with budgeting, financial analysis, and cost control.
• Knowledge of food and beverage, culinary techniques, and flavor.
• Knowledge of food health and safety principles and regulations.
• Demonstrate strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Associate degree in Business Management, Hospitality, and/or a related field.
• 3+ years in a high-volume hospitality atmosphere.
• Have previous Casino hospitality experience.
• Additional industry certifications or degrees.
