SAGE Dining Services is seeking a full-time Sous Chef to join our passionate team at a private school in Southern Maine. We have a great, modern kitchen, and offer continuous training to help you advance your food service career. SAGE offers weekly pay and a full range of benefits. Sous Chef will be responsible for all food production from team members and self ensuring recipes compliance for safety, quality,presentation and taste. Sous will create the weekly schedule for the team members using the weekly budgeted labor and extra staff for catering events.

A sous chef is the second-in-command in a professional kitchen, directly assisting the executive chef. They are responsible for overseeing day-to-day kitchen operations, managing staff, ensuring food quality, and assisting with menu planning and execution. Essentially, they are the "under-chef," ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently, especially in the absence of the head chef.

The hours are Tuesday- Saturday 10 am - 7:30 pm. Must have a valid drivers license.
