Seeking an experienced craft cocktail bartender with superlative people skills

The Velvet Elk is a unique, lush and cozy craft cocktail bar in the Mt Baker neighborhood of Seattle. In addition to creating delicious, creative, and consistent cocktails, we pride ourselves on our exceptionally weing, friendly, and inclusive service to our diverse clientele. We are a woman-owned and operated business that offers a safe, friendly, and collaborative working environment.

Duties include

Greeting guests and checking ID s, learning about guest s preferences, answering their questions, rmending menu items.

Preparing our house cocktails while adhering to exact recipes and measurements, preparing classic cocktails and to-taste mocktails, serving beer wine and other non-alcoholic beverages to our guests.

Accurately answering guest questions about liquor and liqueurs and making knowledgeable rmendations

Serving snacks and heating prepared food.

ing to invent creative and balanced new cocktails.

Preparing fresh juices, syrups, infusions, garnishes, etc

Using Dinerware POS system for cash and credit card transactions. Balancing the bank at open and close

Setting up and breaking down the bar, including cleaning, mopping, dishwashing, equipment maintenance, and re-stocking.

Candidates must be experienced in craft cocktail techniques and possess a deep understanding of classic cocktail recipes, as well as the ability to modify them in innovative and creative ways.

Ideal candidates should have a passion for delivering excellent, friendly service and a driving desire to continue learning and improving liquor knowledge and bartending skills.
