Bar Casa Vale is a traditional wood fired restaurant in inner southeast. Open seven nights a week for dinner, we marry the traditional flavors and recipes of Spain with the incredible ingredients of the Pacific Northwest. The menu centers around wood-fired dishes fresh seafood, local meats, and seasonal vegetables paired with an extensive bar program. Since opening in 2016, Bar Casa Vale has grown into a neighborhood favorite with a lively, inviting atmosp. We are currently seeking a 3-4 day per week line cook to join our small kitchen team. We are looking for people who love traditional Spanish cuisine and is excited to contribution their skills to a hardworking, focused team.

This position will require availability on nights and weekends.

Duties:

Prepare and cook food; seasonally driven traditional European cuisine

Assist chef, manager, and/or kitchen lead when and w needed

Diligence with established sanitation standards, personal hygiene, and health standards

Observe proper food preparation and handling techniques

Qualifications:

Exhibits professionalism in fast-paced,plex situations.

Reliable, timely, clean, and alert. Holds a current Food Handlers card demonstrating a basic knowledge of food-safety practices.

Ability to stand, lift up to 35lbs, and move packages consistently for 2.5 hours at a time between breaks in a refrigerated environment.

Advanced culinary skills and a well-trained palate.

Available to work a flexible shift throughout the year, often including weekend brunch, and evenings

Provide two references that can confirm your work history.

Required Skills and Experience:

2+ years of experience on the line and/or BOH support

Proficient knife skills and knowledge of BOH best practices

Ability to align toanizational culture and goals of providing stellar customer experiences

Ability to work as a team

Pay Rate: DOE $20/hr in addition to $4-$5/hr tips
