WeekdaysPRIMARY PURPOSE
Provide leadership and support for exercise physiology and health coaching programs throughout the Southeastern region. This role is crucial in ensuring consistency and high standards of care across all locations, and involves the planning, development, promotion, and evaluation of exercise and health coaching programming content, standards, and curriculum.
Major Responsibilities
Program Management and Promotion:
- Manage and promote exercise and health coaching services and programs to clientele, delivering these services both onsite and offsite to patients.
- Help develop, implement, and evaluate exercise and health coaching related programs and services.
- Ensure programs align with the latest evidence-based guidelines and best practices.
Expertise and Support:
- Provide high-level exercise and health coaching related expertise and support as an active member of the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Serve as a resource for staff and other healthcare providers regarding exercise and health coaching matters.
- Monitor and evaluate program outcomes.
Staffing and Coverage:
- Ensure all exercise and health coaching consults are staffed adequately.
- Provide coverage and fill in for staff members when necessary, ensuring continuity of care.
- Compliance and Training:
- Ensure exercise and health coaching programs and staff are in compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to foster the development of new team members and interns.
Communication and Leadership:
- Communicate effectively with staff, patients, and other stakeholders.
- Provide leadership and support to exercise physiologists and health coaches throughout the Southeastern region, ensuring smooth operations and high-quality service.
- Support regional initiatives and collaborate with other leaders to ensure consistency and quality of exercise and health coaching services across the region.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Work closely with other ancillary teammates to ensure cohesive and integrated service delivery.
Patient Safety and Equipment Management:
- Ensure patient safety is optimized in the wellness center.
- Oversee the maintenance and servicing of equipment to ensure it is in safe working order.
- Help oversee the procurement of equipment and ensure all necessary items are available and maintained in good condition.
Administrative Support:
- Assist with overall management and administrative duties as needed with the exercise/health coach program.
- Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide careappropriate to the age of the patients served. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures. Age-specific information is developed further in the departmental job standards.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology or related field
Certification / Registration / License
Clinical Exercise Physiologist (CEP) or equivalent credential
Work Experience
Typically requires 5 years of experience in clinical exercise physiology
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Strong knowledge of evidence-based exercise practices and health coaching principles.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Proficiency in program development, evaluation, and quality improvement initiatives.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards in the field of exercise physiology.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
This position requires occasional travel within the Southeast region to support regional initiatives and ensure the consistency and quality of exercise physiology and health coaching services.
Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.

Pay Range
