About Us: Plenty Goods is a vibrant, ingredient-forward cafe located in Chicago, known for health-conscious meals that dont compromise on flavor. We serve a rotating menu of seasonal salads, soups, and sandwiches, along with house-made baked goods and fresh sides. We also offer chef-crafted meals for private clients.
Position Overview: Were seeking a reliable, creative, and detail-oriented Baker/Line Cook to join our kitchen team. This role is responsible for preparing all of our house-made sides and baked goodsincluding cookies, energy bites, breads, smoothie cups, overnight oats, juices, and more. Youll also help assemble sandwiches, soups, and toasts for service.
In addition to daily prep, you'll support our Chef with baked goods for private client orders and assist with recipe testing and development.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare daily sides and baked goods from scratch, following standardized recipes
Assemble grab-and-go items like overnight oats, snack packs, energy bites, cookies, granola, etc.
- Assemble hot food items on the line as they ordered: toasts, breakfast sandwiches, hot soups, etc.
Assist with production of baked goods for private client orders
Participate in recipe development and testing of new menu items
Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe work environment
Communicate clearly with the Chef and team to ensure efficient prep flow
Qualifications:
2-3 years experience in a professional kitchen or bakery preferred
Strong baking skills and experience with batch prep
Ability to follow recipes accurately and manage time efficiently
Reliable, organized, and able to work independently
Passion for good food and interest in health-forward cooking
Must be available SundayThursday, 7:00 AM3:00 PM
Valid City of Chicago Food Sanitation and Allergen Certifications required prior to first day
