About the Role:
Alza Italian Kitchen is looking for a skilled and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team. We're seeking a creative professional with strong leadership abilities, high standards, and a love for food. This is a full-time, hands-on role in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. The ideal candidate thrives under pressure, inspires their team, and brings bold flavors to life.
Responsibilities:
Oversee all kitchen operations, from prep to plating
Maintain exceptional quality in food presentation, taste, and consistency
Lead, train, and schedule back-of-house team members
Manage inventory, ordering, and food cost control
Ensure food safety and cleanliness standards are always met
Collaborate with ownership and FOH on specials, events, and catering
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a chef in a high-volume kitchen
Deep knowledge of diverse cooking techniques and cuisines
Strong leadership and team-building skills
Excellent time management and attention to detail
ServSafe Manager Certification (preferred)
Key Skills:
Team leadership & kitchen management
Culinary creativity & consistency
Banquet and event prep
Inventory and cost control
Catering & high-volume production
