BERN LLC dba Ranch Camp, a full-service restaurant located in Woodstock,
VT, seeks two full-time, temporary line cooks with the description and
requirements as below.
Line Cooks are responsible for the preparation, seasoning, and cooking
of a variety of menu items, including but not limited to pizzas,
sandwiches, burgers, soups, meats, vegetables, and desserts. Duties
include setting up workstations, preparing ingredients, and ensuring
cleanliness before, during, and after service, including washing dishes
and utensils used in food preparation. Line Cooks will create daily
specials, assist with ordering inventory, manage order placement and
receipt, and perform trash removal duties. They will also serve as an
expediter between the kitchen and the front of the house, communicating
information regarding dish ingredients, availability, and preparation
times for service staff. Line Cooks must maintain a professional, steady
presence during high-volume periods. They must report to the owner,
chef, and manager as needed and follow all kitchen protocols.
Requirements: Applicant must:
- Complete pre-employment background check.
- Be able to provide at least one reference for prior work experience.
- Have at least 3 months of restaurant cooking experience.
- Be able to communicate in English.
*Terms & Conditions of Employment:*\
\$20.28/hr., at 40 hours a week, Mon-Fri, 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM (schedule
varies). Overtime rate of pay is at least \$30.42/hr. Overtime will be
available as needed.
*Inbound Transportation:*\
From the place from which the worker has come to work, whether in the
U.S. or abroad, to the place of employment, if the worker completes 50%
of the work contract period, the employer will provide advance payment
of transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the
place of employments.
*Outbound Transportation:*\
Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed
earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker\'s reasonable
cost of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place
the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not
return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of
transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most
economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved.
*Daily Transportation:*\
The employer will provide daily transportation to and from worksites.
*Disclosure of Daily Subsistence Amount:*\
Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of \$16.28 per day during
travel to a maximum of \$68.00 per day with receipts.
*Three-fourths guarantee not required due to 2016 Omnibus:*\
Three-fourths guarantee: The employer guarantees to offer work for hours
equal to at least three fourth of the workdays in each 12-week period of
the total employment period.
*Provision of tools, equipment, and supplies:*\
Tools, equipment, and supplies: The employer will provide workers at no
charge all tools, supplies, & equipment required to perform the job.
*Single work week guarantee and frequency of pay:*\
Miscellaneous: The employer will use a single workweek as its standard
for computing wages due. The pay period is biweekly.
*Statement of deductions from worker\'s pay:*\
The employer will make all payroll deductions required by law and will
not make any deductions which are not required by law.
*Reimbursement of border, visa, and related fees:*\
The employer will reimburse an H-2B worker in the first work week for
all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees,
including those mandated by the government, incurred by the H-2B worker.
*Provision of board, lodging, or other facilities:\
