A new addition to Portland s vibrant dining scene, with the opening of Alma, an elevated Balkan restaurant by chef-owner Vedran Jordan. Located in the King neighborhood of NE Portland at 5237 NE Martin Luther King Boulevard, Alma will offer a playful and creative taste of Balkan cuisine through a menu of tapas and d plates inspired by family recipes, Ottoman-era classics, and contemporary dishes. Named after Chef Vedran s mother, Alma is a love letter to family, tradition, and the sun-drenched warmth of the Mediterranean.
We are hiring both part-time and full-time servers. With the potential to grow into management.
Responsibilities:
Provide attentive, courteous, and knowledgeable service to all guests
Guide guests through the menu, including wine and cocktails
Ensure tables are properly set and maintained throughout service
Collaborate closely with kitchen and bar staff to deliver a seamless experience
Maintain a thorough understanding of food ingredients, preparation methods, and allergy protocols
Uphold all health and safety standards
Contribute to a warm, thoughtful, weing, and elevated dining atmosp
Qualifications:
Kind, works well on a team, and professional
2+ years of server experience in an upscale restaurant environment
Strong knowledge of wine and spirits is a plus
Excellentmunication and interpersonal skills
Professional appearance and demeanor
Ability to multi-task and stayposed in a fast-paced setting
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
