Job Overview:

  • As a Server at Goodhouse, you will play a critical role in delivering an exceptional dining experience that embodies excellence, luxury, and personalized service. You will be the face of our establishment, ensuring each guest feels welcomed, valued, and treated to a memorable culinary journey.

Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Guest Experience:
    • Provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all guests.
    • Anticipate and respond to guests needs with a focus on creating personalized experiences.
    • Communicate menu offerings, including daily specials and wine pairings, with in-depth knowledge and enthusiasm.
    • Accurately take orders and relay them to the kitchen, ensuring any dietary restrictions or preferences are noted.
    • Present and serve dishes with precision, ensuring each course is delivered seamlessly.
    • Offer expert advice on wine pairings and cocktails to enhance the dining experience.
  • Service Excellence:
    • Maintain a polished, professional appearance and demeanor at all times
    • Uphold the restaurants high standards of service, ensuring a flawless and consistent guest experience.
    • Manage multiple tables efficiently while maintaining attention to detail and providing exceptional service to each guest.
    • Handle any guest complaints or concerns with grace, escalating to management when necessary.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Work closely with the kitchen staff, sommeliers, and other servers to ensure smooth service flow.
    • Assist in training and mentoring new team members.
    • Participate in pre-service meetings to discuss the menu, special events, and any service updates.
  • Operations:
    • Prepare dining areas for service, including setting tables, polishing glassware, and folding napkins.
    • Accurately process payments and manage transactions using the restaurants POS system.
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of service stations and dining areas.
    • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including food handling and sanitation standards.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a server in an upscale-dining or Michelin-starred restaurant.
    • Strong knowledge of food, wine, and beverage service.
    • Proven track record of providing exceptional guest service.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
    • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
    • Proficiency in a second language (e.g., French, Spanish, Italian) is a plus.
  • Personal Attributes:

Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly ($11.50 - $18.50) plus tips
