Job Title: Janitor

Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and diligent Janitor to maintain the cleanliness and order of our facilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure a safe, sanitary, and pleasant environment for all occupants. This role is essential for the daily upkeep and smooth operation of our buildings.
Key Responsibilities:
General Cleaning: Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing surfaces.
Waste Management: Collect and dispose of trash, recycling, and other waste materials from all designated areas.
Restroom Maintenance: Clean and sanitize restrooms, including sinks, toilets, floors, and mirrors, and restock supplies as needed.
Facility Upkeep: Conduct minor maintenance and repair work, and report any major issues or necessary repairs to a supervisor.
Desired Qualifications:
Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in a janitorial, custodial, or similar cleaning role.
Technical Skills: Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and procedures. Ability to use and maintain basic cleaning equipment.
Leadership: The ability to work effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision.
Certification: A valid driver's license may be required depending on the location and scope of duties.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently.
Requires the ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop for extended periods.
Must be able to work in various conditions, including exposure to cleaning chemicals and occasional loud noise.
