Job Title : Janitor Floor Tech

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Janitor Floor Tech to specialize in the maintenance, cleaning, and restoration of all flooring surfaces within our facilities. The ideal candidate will be proficient in using a variety of floor care equipment and techniques to ensure our floors are clean, well-maintained, and safe. This role requires a keen attention to detail and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of cleanliness and appearance.

Key Responsibilities:

Floor Maintenance: Perform a full range of floor care tasks, including stripping, waxing, buffing, scrubbing, and refinishing various floor types such as tile, linoleum, and concrete.

General Cleaning: Conduct routine cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and trash removal.

Equipment Operation: Safely operate and maintain specialized floor care machinery, including buffers, scrubbers, wet vacuums, and carpet extractors.

Safety & Supply Management: Adhere to all safety regulations and use cleaning chemicals and equipment properly. Manage and maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies and report needs to a supervisor.

Desired Qualifications:

Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Experience: A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in floor care or a related custodial role is essential.

Technical Skills: Proven knowledge of various floor types and the appropriate cleaning methods for each. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to follow technical instructions.

Leadership: The ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage a daily task list.

Certification: A valid driver's license may be required.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and stand, walk, climb, and stoop for extended periods.

Requires the ability to operate heavy floor care equipment safely.

Must be able to work in various conditions, including exposure to loud noise, chemicals, and all types of weather.
