Pay Range: $15.50 per hour
Job Summary: The Room Service Server is responsible for taking and delivering in-room food and drink orders, serving food and beverages, preparing itemized checks, and accepting payments. This role ensures the highest quality service and maintains cleanliness and sanitation throughout the hours of operation.
Essential Functions and Duties:
Complies with certification requirements such as Alcohol Awareness, Food Handlers, and Safety as applicable.
Serves guests with food and beverage orders in a warm, friendly, courteous, and professional manner.
Ensures the room service area and cafe wait station are kept clean and tidy.
Operates the P.O.S. system for order taking and processing.
Follows proper food handling and sanitation procedures throughout the service.
Provides prompt and accurate service, ensuring guest satisfaction.
Handles cash and processes payments according to hotel standards.
Prepares itemized checks for guests and provides detailed information about orders.
Assists with the setup and breakdown of service areas as needed.
Lifts and carries trays or other heavy objects as necessary.
Works collaboratively with team members to meet service goals.

Required Experience, Education, and Skills:
Previous experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
Basic arithmetic skills to total costs and make change.
Ability to communicate clearly and provide information to guests and team members.
Knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
Proficiency with P.O.S. systems for order processing.
Work Environment:
Primarily works indoors, with protection from weather but not necessarily from temperature changes.
Frequently stands and walks for long periods.
Regularly lifts and carries objects up to 20 lbs., and frequently handles objects weighing up to 10 lbs.
Requires reaching, handling, talking, hearing, and seeing as part of daily responsibilities.
Flexibility to work nights, days, weekends, and holidays as needed.
