Job Details The Counter clerk is responsible for tending to guests with preparing and serving a variety of beverages and baked goods. Provides friendly, knowledgeable service to all guests.Operations:
- Set up workstation with required tools, equipment and supplies according to standards
- Always seek to make guest experience memorable and positive, regardless of business level
- Greets guests warmly and assists in explaining the coffee drink and food menu, answering questions, providing knowledgeable guidance on retail items as needed
- Prepares and sells coffee drinks following Orwashers recipes and preparation techniques
- Maintains coffee bar inventory by replenishing coffee bean supply, coffee, brewing equipment
- Execut e all orders within a timely manner for tableside service
- Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions, performing preventive maintenance, informing Management of necessary repairs
- Complete shift work (opening and closing checklists) thoroughly in accordance with department standards
- Inform General Manager of any sub-par product prior to the start of service
- Restock items that were depleted during the shift
- Manage proper storing temperatures according to DOH regulations
- Follow proper rotation procedures according to DOH regulations
- Updates knowledge and skills by participating in staff training opportunities
- Maintains sanitation to Department of Health standards; Keep work area clean and organized
- Informs General Manager immediately of any DOH or OSHA/workplace safety violations
- Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment; use equipment and tools only as intended, properly and safely
- Inform General Manager of any product, materials or equipment needs
- Be a team playersupport and assist your fellow team members whenever possible
- Completes other duties as assigned by management
Essential Functions:
- Able to lift 30+ pounds
- Fluent in both written and spoken English
- Must have basic math skills
- Maintain friendly, helpful and positive attitude at all times
- Polished personal presentation; Grooming meets Company standards, as outlined by Employee Handbook
- Communicates information effectively and efficiently
- Ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal direction
- Able to work nights, weekends and holidays, and variable schedule, per the needs of the business
- Ability to walk, stand, and/or bend continuously and for extended periods as required to perform essential job functions
- Ability to perform essential job functions under pressure, maintains professionalism when working under stress
- Attends mandatory staff meetings
- Adherence to company, state, and county sanitation standards
- Strict adherence to posted schedule and clock in/out at times
- Unpack, stock, & organize all items in and around the restaurant to maintain highest level of cleanliness possible
- Perform all other related and compatible duties as assigned by the General Manager
- Adhere to all HR policies and procedures
Compensation Details
Compensation: Hourly ($16.50) plus tips
