Position Description
The Bartenders primary responsibility is to serve guests in a warm, accommodating, and professional manner ensuring total guest satisfaction. This is achieved by:
- Engaging with guests and anticipating needs while guiding their experience
- Having knowledge of all food and beverage menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methods
- Having knowledge of all beverage lists and promotions
- Informing guests of specials and menu changes
- Following all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
- Communicating with barbacks before, during and after service to ensure seamless supply of bar supplies and glassware
- Maintaining accurate cash drawers throughout shifts with less than $5 variance
- Working main or service bars as determined by Management
- Performing daily side work and overseeing weekly maintenance and cleanliness of all bar and storage areas according to schedule
- Periodically attend as required, and as frequently as possible when elective, beverage trainings
- Suggesting ways to improve service, as opportunities arise, and perform inventories as required by Management
Required Experience
- Experience in a high-volume restaurant (2+ years Manhattan experience preferred)
- Strong problem solving, communication, and interpersonal skills, ability to handle tense situations with coworkers and customers calmly and rationally
- Observant and thorough
- Responsible and punctual
- Ability to meet physical and scheduling demands of the position, including, walking, standing, or lifting heavy items for extended periods and open availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays

Compensation DetailsCompensation: Hourly ($11.00) plus tips
Estimated Weekly Tips: $1,750
