They check and secure the rooms, report any damage or maintenance issues, and ensure lost property is handed over to their supervisor.
Important skills for a Room Attendant include attention to detail, good physical stamina and customer service skills. They should also have knowledge of cleaning techniques and chemical handling. There are no specific certifications required, but a high school diploma is usually preferred. Before becoming a Room Attendant, a person could have roles such as a Cleaner, Laundry Attendant or a Porter in the hospitality industry.
