Prepare and serve drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, to customers. Manage the bar area, ensure a positive customer experience, and maintain cleanliness and stock levels.
Key responsibilities of a bartender include:
Customer Interaction:
Greeting guests, taking drink and sometimes food orders, and providing excellent customer service.
Beverage Preparation:
Mixing drinks according to recipes, pouring beer, wine, and other beverages, and ensuring drinks are properly garnished.
Bar Management:
Monitoring inventory, restocking supplies, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and ensuring the bar area is presentable.
Age Verification:
Checking customer identification to ensure they meet the legal drinking age.
Cash Handling:
Processing payments, handling cash transactions, and providing accurate change.
Teamwork:
Collaborating with other staff members, such as servers and kitchen staff, to ensure smooth service.
Following Regulations:
Adhering to all relevant health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
Additional responsibilities may include:
Opening and Closing Duties: Setting up the bar, counting cash, and securing the premises.
