Love working in a fun, busy neighborhood cafe? The Flora Bakehouse, located in Beacon Hill is part of the Flora Restaurant Group (Cafe Flora, and Floret at Sea-Tac Airport). Ourmissary bakery makes delicious, seasonal breads and pastries that we feature in our cafe. Our guests love enjoying our amazing rooftop garden deck with a cup of coffee, or glass of wine overlooking Mt Rainier.
We are seeking a Full Time (4 shifts/week) Barista to join our cafe team! The ideal candidate has barista experience, is a strong team player, and has weekend and afternoon/early evening availability.
Cafe is open from 7am-5pm
Must have weekend shift availability.
Shifts start as early as 6am. Closing Shifts end as late as 6pm.
General Responsibilities:
Maintain positive staff morale and act as a team player.
Ensure excellence in preparing coffee and handling/serving our amazing baked goods.
Provide guests with weing, genuine, and friendly service, and providing our guests with a memorable experience in our cafe.
On Bar:
Standard bar operation 4/5 shifts a week.
Maintain a wellanized and clean cafe.
Perform opening and closing procedures.
Consistently and efficiently prepare and serve excellent quality beverages.
Maintainplete knowledge of all food and beverages, including ingredients and allergens and tasting notes for beer & wine.
Adnce to food safety standards, with particular care towards Vegan and Gluten sensitivities.
Desired Characteristics:
Passionate about coffee & our baked goods.
Experience with Toast POS (or similar POS).
Exceptional Interpersonal Skills.
Open to learning new skills and growing within a closely knit team.
Maintaining positive attitude and professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a cafe, coffeeshop, or bakery environment.
Must be available 4/5 shifts per week (7-8 hour shifts).
Must have weekend availability. (all current staff works at least one weekend day a week, as weekends are VERY busy)
