Sparrow Bakery PDX is looking to add a PT-FT (3-4 days/wk) Front of House / Customer Service person to our schedule at our St. Johns Cafe! Being able to work at least one weekend day is a MUST. This FOH position will also have the opportunity to cross-train as a Prep and Short Order Chef, and perhaps Barista too!
Individuals will need to understand and excel at the customer service nature of their position and will also need to expect to be challenged and put under pressure as Sparrow is a very fast-paced, albeit, well supported, work environment each Barista/Customer Service will work with the support of a strong, experienced service team at their side. Charisma, a love of baked goods and coffee, and excellentmunication skills are a REAL plus for this position - we are looking for really wonderful people to take care of our customers! Applicants will hopefully have experience working in a fast-paced environment, have a knack for multitasking, and have a humble nature. If you like to be busy and enjoy feeling your work days fly-by then this is the position for you! Our business hours are 8am-3pm, open 7 days/wk.
Starting pay will depend upon relevant kitchen experience:
$17-$19/hour + plus tips (approx. $3/hour)
