Bar Sabai is located in Beaverton serving handcrafted cocktails and Thai-inspired bites. We are part of Rooster & Rice, known for Khao Mun Gai - Thai-Style Chicken Rice, with roots in the SF Bay Area. Our focus is on quality ingredients and authentic flavors as we expand into the Oregon market.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, with a primary focus on cocktails, as well as beer and wine, according to established recipes and standards.
Bar Prep: Batching syrups, teas, infusions, prepping citrus, fresh juices, and garnishes (These responsibilities will be d weekly).
Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner, taking orders and providing rmendations to upsell, highlight specials, and curate the guest experience.
Maintain cleanliness andanization of the bar area, including stocking supplies, cleaning equipment, and sanitizing surfaces.
Monitor alcohol consumption and ensure responsible serving practices are followed.
Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently.
Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operation of the bar and overall establishment.
Upholdpany policies and procedures regarding safety, sanitation, and customer service.
Requirements:
Extensive knowledge of cocktail recipes, preparation methods, and presentation techniques.
Commitment to consistency and mitigating waste.
Strong hospitality experience andmunication skills.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
Attention to detail and cleanliness.
Must be of legal drinking age and hold a valid OLCC and Food Handler's card.
Commitment to following OLCC regulations and safe and responsible serving guidelines.
Experience with POS systems and safe cash handling practices.
Availability to work flexible part-time hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications:
3 years of experience in a high-end, fast-paced, cocktail bar environment is encouraged. However, we invite bartenders who show remarkable skill, passion, and dedication for continued learning.
Impeccablemitment to our team environment while remaining flexible and teachable.
Knowledge of bartending equipment and techniques and current trends within the industry (e.g., shaking, stirring, muddling, garnish art, and cocktail creation and batching).
Commitment to hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
Strong passion for cocktail creation to infuse existing menu with unique and exciting specials.
Experience working events.
