Job Details The Kuma Hospitality Group is looking for a Hostess/Host for labeille and Muku.

l'abeille is a 54 seat Michelin starred French Restaurant in the heart of lower Manhattan in Tribeca headed by Chef Mitsunobu Nagae, who has extensive experiences in haute cuisine at multiple Michelin-Starred restaurants in Tokyo (L'Osier, Chateau Restaurant Joel Robuchon), Paris (Ledoyen), and New York (L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon, Shun). His vision for the Restaurant is to provide the kind of food one would be served at great restaurants in France - highest quality food served in a friendly and refined environment is the core concept of our dining experience.

This is an excellent opportunity for hospitality professionals looking to advance their career. The ideal candidate will have a keen understanding of the fundamentals of French food, wine and service standards as well as a professional demeanor and, most importantly, the desire to learn and potential for growth in the company. A hospitality or culinary degree is preferred, but not required.

  • Required to have experiences working in a fine dining environment in NYC
  • Welcome guests in a warm and friendly manner
  • Helping guests with reservations and guiding them to their table
  • Giving guests accurate wait time estimates and seating them in the waiting area
  • Providing customers with menus and answering any initial questions they may have
  • Optimizing seating at different tables to ensure even workload for wait staff
  • Answering phones and scheduling reservations with large parties
  • Monitors restaurant activity to determine seating and dining flow
  • Responds to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner.
  • Helps fellow team members and other departments wherever necessary to maintain positive working relationships
Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly ($20.00) plus tips

Estimated Weekly Tips: $450
