Groundskeeper Jobs in California
A Groundskeeper in the hospitality service industry is responsible for maintaining the aesthetic appeal and functionality of outdoor spaces at hospitality establishments like resorts, hotels, and golf courses. Their duties often include landscaping, lawn maintenance, planting and pruning trees and flowers, trash removal, snow removal, and maintaining outdoor fixtures like walkways and fountains. The ultimate goal of a Groundskeeper is to keep outdoor spaces clean, safe, and inviting for guests.
Important skills for a Groundskeeper in the hospitality service industry include physical stamina, attention to detail, and a basic understanding of horticulture. Some Groundskeeper positions may require specific certifications such as a pesticide applicator's license or a Certified Grounds Technician (CGT) credential.
