The mammoth 12,000Sq.ft. / 300 seat Modern American Restaurant is embellished in the heart of the prestigious Plaza 10 office tower. Job Overview:
The Server plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant by maintaining the service and hospitality flow in the dining spaces. As a Server, you will be responsible for bussing and resetting the tables, providing food and beverage service, and keeping the restaurant and service areas clean and organized. You will also help receive goods, assist with inventory management and preparation of materials. Most importantly you will be expected to service guests at tables coded to your section. This will all happen in conjunction to the safe and efficient delivery of food and beverages for both your guests and service areas. Your attention to detail and efficiency are essential in supporting the service team and creating a seamless and memorable guest experience.

DETAILSPosition Summary
Servers g uide our guests, demonstrating thorough knowledge of the food, beverages, ingredients and general preparation of items on our menu. Servers exhibit great communication skills and a pleasant friendly attitude at all times.
Servers take orders efficiently and accurately, maintain a neat and orderly environment, and ensure that guests have an unforgettable experience. First and foremost, a Server's job is to be present for their co-workers and to work together to make the guest experience the highest priority.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Accurately take guests' orders and input into POS system while maintaining correct transaction records
- Comply with Company and Department of Health established sanitation standards, personal hygiene, and health standards; observe proper food preparation and handling techniques and safety protocols
- Comply with Company safety plan and standards as set forth in training materials
- Effectively communicate guest needs with FOH/BOH and management team
- Ensure compliance with all State and local alcohol ordinances and the implementation of those ordinances. This will require the ability to get an ABC Card "Jersey City Bar Card" prior to your start date.
- Interact with guests with positivity and composure in all circumstances
- Maintain knowledge and understanding of every item on the menu and answer guest questions with clarity and confidence, providing recommendations upon request
- Able to acquire the company uniform
- Provide friendly, gracious, motivated, detail oriented, and responsive service to create a memorable dining experience for guests
- Report to work in a neat and clean uniform; maintain well-groomed hair and personal hygiene as established by company policy
- Serve tables as directed by management and in compliance with Company training
- Work in collaboration with staff to ensure food and beverage is received by guests in a timely manner
Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to perform essential job functions when working in a high business volume, fast-paced environment
- Ability to walk, stand, and/or bend continuously and for extended periods of time as required to perform essential job functions
- Able to lift 30+ lbs.
- Able to work nights, weekends and holidays, and variable schedule, per the needs of the business
- Be of legal age to serve alcohol
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Fluent in both written and spoken English
- General knowledge of industry safety standards and procedures
- Polished personal presentation; grooming meets Company standards, as outlined by Employee Handbook
- State applicable health and/or alcohol compliance card. Jersey City ABC card
- Willingness to work in outdoor climate conditions

Compensation DetailsCompensation: Hourly ($5.26) plus tips
